What’s the Event About?
This event is for people with learning disabilities, their families, professionals, and anyone involved in health and social care. We’ll talk about the entire social care journey—from asking for help to reviewing your care.
Key Topics Include:
- Accessing information, advice, and guidance to help you make decisions, with the option to speak to someone if needed
- Completing a Supported Self-Assessment online so you don’t have to wait for assistance
- Using re-ablement services to regain independence through focused support
- Utilising an Individual Budget to receive care and support in a way that suits you best
- Having your care and support reviewed proportionately and more quickly
In Suffolk, we’re moving away from long waiting times and slow processes. We’re focusing on coproduction to find better ways to help people get the support they need quickly and directly. This is your chance to share how these changes can work best for you and your community.
We’ll also provide updates on social care in Suffolk and welcome your thoughts on what’s working and what could be done differently.
