What?
Following recent planning sessions, Workstreams will meet every other month and membership will look to include self-advocate Strategy Champions, family carers, provider representatives, health and social care practitioners and representatives from Suffolk County Council or district and borough councils. Though this is not an exhaustive list. Through these planning sessions, we identified a need for more family carer representation throughout our workstreams.
Why?
A workstream meeting offers a chance to share ideas, co-produce future plans and support one another. Members of Workstreams are responsible for promoting the vision of the Strategy and using our test to challenge if we do not think this is being upheld. A workstream is also responsible for considering responses to the “recommended actions” of the Strategy, in co-production.
A workstream would also be responsible for giving updates to the Learning Disability Partnership Board on occasion about different projects that have been influenced or supported by the Strategy.
How?
Please email hello@suffolkordinarylives.co.uk if you are interested in joining a workstream.
