About the consultation:

Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) is the UK’s national institute for health data science. HDR UK is dedicated to uniting health data to enable discoveries that improve people’s lives.

We are holding a public consultation and inviting local people to give their views on how we involve and engage with patients, carers and the public, over the next four years.

We have developed a draft Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Strategy, which addresses the current challenges around public involvement and invites people across the UK to participate and help shape the future of health data research.

Through this strategy, we aspire to improve transparency, foster public trust, and promote shared decision-making throughout the research process. By incorporating the perspectives of patients, carers and the public, we aim to make sure health data research benefits everyone.
