Interactive workshops on helping women with a learning disability to attend cervical screening, hosted by researchers at Imperial College
We are running 2 workshops on cervical screening in March 2026.
Cervical screening is a free health check for women. It is important to go to cervical screening when you are invited.
The workshops will be run by Mary-Lou Owen, Ellie Rossiter and the researchers from Imperial College. The workshops are open to women age 25-64 with learning disabilities.
They are also open to families, carers and support teams.
At the workshops, we will talk about:
- Why people with learning disabilities may not go to cervical screening
- Any experiences you have had with cervical screening
- What can help people go to cervical screening.
We are hosting two workshops. We would like you to come to both.
The first workshop is on Wednesday 11th March. The first workshop will start at 12:30pm and finish at 2:30pm.
The second workshop is on Monday the 23rd March. The second workshop will start at 10:30am and finish at 12:30pm.
