National HIV Testing Week

We’re supporting National HIV Testing Week!

Testing is the only way to know if you have HIV or not so there’s no better time to get tested. The latest HIV data from 2022 shows that over one third (36%) of people who were diagnosed with HIV in Suffolk were at a late stage – this means they tested positive for HIV after the virus has already started to damage their immune system.

  • It’s recommended you test for HIV at least once a year and more regularly if you’ve had unprotected sex or more than one partner.
  • HIV testing is free, quick and easy. Anyone diagnosed with HIV in the UK can
    access free treatment and support.
  • If you have HIV, finding out means you can start treatment and stay healthy.
