You and your communities are invited to attend a small and welcoming Community Event kindly being hosted by Newmarket Abbeycroft Leisure on Friday 10th February.
Located in the reception / café area of the Leisure Centre this informal and relaxed event has:
- NSFT Suffolk Wellbeing Service & Newmarket Social Prescribers who are there to support those who are struggling with their wellbeing and mental health. They can provide advice and practical support having access to groups / workshops / courses / talking therapies and counselling. Why not come and have a chat with the team and see how they can help?
- Racing Welfare – supporting the racing industry, they are currently able to offer those who are eligible a one off £300 payment towards energy costs through their winter fuel grant.
- Newmarket Day Centre – showcasing their services for the older community as they are able to offer; chiropody / hearing aid maintenance / hairdressing / bathing – spa bath / home meal delivery services as well as a friendly welcoming community through their restaurant and café.

In addition to this the COVID vaccination team will be present providing the last opportunity for those to receive their Autumn / Winter booster, as these will cease to be available from February 12th. All clinics after this date will continue to provide 1st & 2nd doses of the vaccine for all those eligible.
The team will also be able to provide support to those who are needle phobic, anxious, suffer from poor mental health, and/or have learning/physical disabilities; please let a member of staff know that you, or those you bring, require additional time and assistance.
The team will also be on hand for those who have any questions or concerns about COVID and the vaccine. Alternatively, please email covidvaccination2@wsh.nhs.uk with your specific queries and a member of the team will contact you.
