Wellbeing Suffolk are planning events for Carer’s Week, which runs from the 8th – 14th June. See message below from Julie at Suffolk Wellbeing for more information.
I am writing to let you know about what Wellbeing Suffolk have planned for Carers Week (8th-14th June). Working with our partner Suffolk Family Carers we are dedicating our Virtual Socials calendar for the week to carers. Carers week is about making carers visible and we at Wellbeing want carers to know that they are not alone and support is there if they need it.
Our socials all begin at 2pm and there is a range of activities and focused discussions programmed. On Monday we have an activity session with Nikki our resident dancer, Tuesday we are making scones with Nikki’s mum (ingredients list available on the website), Wednesday is a cuppa and a chat in Carers Corner, we have a mindful relaxation session on Thursday with Nikki in Relaxation Station and on Friday we have a special focused natter for those who are shielding in our session Carers of Shield.
In all sessions we will be joined by a member of Suffolk Family Carers to offer advice, support and the carers perspective. I’ve attached a flyer with the details and all sessions can be accessed by going to the website and following the links for social events. The socials are held on Zoom and if you aren’t confident about using Zoom there is a handy how to guide on there too. We are passionate about praising the work that carers do and would love it if you could join us.
