Sensory library sessions

The Saturday Club Sensory Library is filled with a variety of sensory items which are designed to help people adjust to, or cope with sensory challenges.

a selection of sensory items including a weighted blanket, fidget cube and liquid timer

The aim is to enable children or adults to try sensory equipment to see if it would be beneficial, without committing to an expensive outlay.

Loans are for a period of 4 weeks, in order to allow the family the opportunity to measure the level of effectiveness.

“We ask for a small deposit on our items which is returned when the item has been returned.”

Sensory equipment includes Weighted blankets, Chewie necklaces, Liquid timers, Dark dens, Hedgehog balls, Body socks, Traffic light timers, and tangles.

We operate a drop in session at Stowmarket library every 4 weeks, run by parents who have experience of sensory difficulties.

Families are welcome to come along, have a look, loan items, return items or just have a chat. Everyone is welcome.
