Special Educational Needs Support for Pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties

Suffolk’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) is offering a free, relaxed online session for parents and carers in Suffolk. This session will explain the graduated approach to Special Educational Needs support and how this works for pupils with specific learning difficulties, including dyslexia.

This session will be supported by the Lead Teacher for the specialist education outreach service for pupils with specific learning difficulties.

The session will explore:

• The key principles of SEN support and whole class approaches;
• The 4 stages of the graduated cycle of support and how you and your child are involved;
• Examples of support schools can reasonably offer;
• What happens if a pupil needs further support;
• Ideas for helping your child at home.

Anyone who books will be sent a video of a pre-recording of the session afterwards, to watch at their own pace, and with family members.

When is the session?

24th January 2022 12:30 – 2pm
