Please be aware of a new scam involving scammers offering ‘interest-free loans’ or ‘government grants’’ in return for proof of identity, bank account details, and a fixed fee. They use this information to apply for universal credit in your name! Always be suspicious when you are asked for personal information, especially when it includes bank accounts. You should never give out banking account numbers and sort codes online.
