Leading charities call for accessible voting for all

Leading charities like Mencap and Sense have co-signed a letter from United Response, calling on government to guarantee accessible voting for people with disabilities and autism. There are approximately 1.5 million people with a learning disability in the UK. Accessible Voting Day

United Response are launching a brand-new awareness day, Accessible Voting Day. Accessible Voting Day (http://accessiblevotingday.org) aims to promote the rights of people with disabilities to take part in politics and vote. The event also aims to raise awareness of why voting and elections are hard for some people, to help make voting more accessible.
