What is it?

“Did you know 1200 people with a learning disability die avoidably in hospital each and every year? This shocking statistic highlights the unequal healthcare many people with a learning disability still receive. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Treat me well is our campaign to transform the way people with a learning disability are treated in hospital.

Simple adjustments make a big difference. More time, better communication and clearer information can all help to make sure someone with a learning disability is treated well in hospital.
